Dariush Farziaei : عمو پورنگ :‌ The beloved Iranian TV personality, Dariush Farziaei, known as Amoo Poorang, made his first television appearance in 1997 on the show We and You, a program dedicated to airing children's requested animations. Two years later, in 1999, he appeared in Poorang and Torang, a pre-recorded show that further solidified his place in children's television.

In April 2001, Amoo Poorang rose to fame with the live show Amoo Poorang, produced by Moslem Aghajan Zadeh and directed by Ahmad Darvishali Pour. This show aired three days a week on IRIB TV1. However, starting in early 2009, the live broadcasts were discontinued, and the show was reduced to a pre-recorded episode airing once a week on IRIB TV2. Uncle Poorang hosted this program alongside Amir Mohammad Motaghian. After an impressive run of 141 episodes, the show concluded in April 2014.

In 2016, Amoo Poorang starred in the popular series Gol va Bolbol Neighborhood, which aired over three seasons on IRIB TV2. A few months later, he returned to television with Amoo Poorang’s Eid Special, where he discussed various topics, including the coronavirus, with children.

During Ramadan, Amoo Poorang made another return with the show Kids of the Neighborhood, which aired for three seasons on IRIB TV2 before concluding. In April 2021, Amoo Poorang was back on TV with Amoo Poorang's Cottage, a series that aired on IRIB TV2 and ended on December 21, 2021. Following this, Uncle Poorang’s Eid Special returned again during Nowruz 2022, continuing the legacy of this beloved character.
