Hedieh Tehrani (born July 25, 1972) is an Iranian actress and photographer. She has won two Crystal Simorgh Awards for Best Actress in Leading Role from the Fajr International Film Festival for her performances in the films "Red" and "Wednesday, May 9." Many Iranian filmmakers consider Tehrani to be the most captivating actress in the history of Iranian cinema.

Early Life:
Hedieh Tehrani was born on July 25, 1972, in Tehran, Iran. She was initially selected to star in the film "Day of Incident," but later, her role was replaced by Ladan Mostofi. Kianoush Ayyari also chose her for a role, which later went to Asal Badiee. Finally, Masoud Kimiai cast her in the film "Sultan." Her effortless and smooth performances in unconventional films, particularly "Shokaran," garnered praise from critics. She received a Crystal Simorgh Award from the Fajr Film Festival and a Golden Statue from the House of Cinema for her role in "Wednesday, May 9." Following Mahnaz Afshar, Hamedi Tehrani was named the second highest-grossing female actress of the solar decade of the 1980s.

Photography Exhibition:
In Azar 1388 (December 2009), Hedieh Tehrani displayed 198 of her photographs on various floors of the House of Artists in the "Abanegan" photography exhibition. These photographs were priced between 500,000 to 8 million Tomans. She faced harsh criticism from reporters during a session discussing this exhibition. While Tehrani claimed to have received a loan of 220 million Tomans from the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization to hold the exhibition, the spokesperson for this organization stated that the loan amount was only 80 million Tomans, and Hamid Baghaei, the head of the organization, announced it to be 120 million Tomans. In 1390, following a complaint from the exhibition's designer against Hedieh Tehrani, she appeared in court regarding a bounced check case.

Appointment to the Tai Chi Chuan Women's Committee:
In Shahrivar 1392 (September 2013), Hedieh Tehrani was appointed as the Vice President of the Women's Committee of the Tai Chi Chuan Federation. This appointment received mixed reactions, but officials of the Wushu Federation announced that she had previous experience coaching in this sport.

Protest Against the Construction of Miankaleh Petrochemical Plant:
On April 2, 2022, Hedieh Tehrani joined the campaign against the construction of the petrochemical plant near the Miankaleh Wetland. The cinema actress displayed her opposition to this unlawful project by holding a sign that read "No to Miankaleh Petrochemical Plant" while participating in the protest at the Miankaleh Wetland.
