Best known for his compelling performances, Pourhosseini gained widespread recognition for his roles in notable films such as "Bashu, the Little Stranger" (1989), "The Fifth Season" (1997), and "Saint Mary" (1997). His versatility as an actor was evident in other well-known films, including "The Man Who Became a Mouse" (1985), "The Night it Happened" (1988), "Angel Day" (1993), and "Leila's Sleep" (2007).

Tragically, Pourhosseini succumbed to COVID-19 at the age of 79, passing away at Firoozgar Hospital in Tehran. His death marked a significant loss to the Iranian artistic community, and his absence is deeply felt.

Parviz Pourhosseini's artistic journey began with his education at Tehran University's Faculty of Fine Arts, where he earned a bachelor's degree in performance arts. In 1961, alongside director Hamid Samandarian and other artists, he co-founded an acting troupe named Pasargad. This collaborative effort laid the foundation for a prolific career that spanned over 35 movies, more than 70 TV shows, and 60 theater performances.

Pourhosseini's legacy is not only defined by the sheer volume of his work but also by the depth and authenticity he brought to each role. His contributions have had a lasting impact on Iranian cinema, television, and theater, making him a revered figure in the country's artistic history.
