The plot revolves around two widowed women, Fatemeh (played by Fakhri Khorvash) and Pouran (played by Pouran), who meet in a zoo and decide to live together. Pouran works in a typing institute and weaves at home. Ahmad (played by Iraj Ghaderi) is interested in her and receives a scholarship to go abroad. Pouran becomes a radio singer during his absence. Years pass, and the daughters of Fatemeh and Pouran grow up. Kobra (played by Sepideh), who has taken the name Suzi, is dissatisfied with her overweight mother. On the other hand, Lili (played by Atesh) misses her mother, who spends her time at the radio station. Suzi has a friend named Farhad, but he distances himself from her, citing her mother's weight. Ahmad returns from his trip and proposes to Pouran, while Lili is also interested in him. Pouran refuses Ahmad for the sake of her daughter, but Lili does not accept it. Fatemeh becomes ill, and Ahmad objects to Farhad for mistreating Kobra. He convinces him to marry Kobra. Ahmad brings Kobra to her mother's bed, but before her daughter arrives, Fatemeh passes away.
The film won the award for the Best Supporting Actress at the 6th Tehran International Film Festival in 1974. Fakhri Khorvash received recognition for her performance in the role of Fatemeh.
