Zendane Zanan : زندان زنان : In 1983, at a women's prison, the inmates stage a rebellion. Tahereh Yousefi, the new prison warden, intervenes to calm them and ultimately restores order through strict regulations. Tahereh's challenge escalates when she clashes with Mitra, an inmate convicted of killing her stepfather. Mitra, influential among the prisoners, defies Tahereh's orders and faces repeated punishments.

Pegah, a young inmate with political charges and a close friend of Mitra, is taken for execution after a solo cello performance. During an air raid by Iraqi planes, a pregnant inmate goes into labor in the darkness of Tehran. Mitra, a former midwifery student, assists in the delivery, naming the baby Spideh.

In 1992, ten years later, a young woman named Sahar is brought to the prison. Unlike before, only Mitra and Tahereh remain from the previous staff and inmates. An inmate with a corrupt gang within the prison repeatedly tries to trap Sahar, but Mitra's protection prevents this until one night when the corrupt woman assaults Sahar. The prison descends into chaos, and Tahereh, who now has a closer relationship with Mitra, intervenes, resulting in the corrupt woman’s death.
