Reprot Problems !
PanjahKiloo Albaloo : is a film directed by Mani Haghighi, co-written by Farhad Tohidi and Mani Haghighi, and produced by Mostafa Shayesteh and Mohammad Shayesteh. The film, released in 2015, unfolds with the backdrop of Marjan's (Mona Ahmadi) wedding.
The narrative commences with law enforcement officers storming the wedding to apprehend the groom, a notorious criminal named Soroush (Soroush Sehhat). Amid the chaos, the guests escape. A prank involving pouring cherry juice on Davood Garami's (Saed Soheili) shirt leads to his friend Majid (Ali Sadeghi), thinking he's been shot, bringing him to a room. Simultaneously, Ayda Soufi (Hasti Mahdavifar) enters the same room, where a law enforcement officer witnesses them together. To prevent Soroush from escaping, Marjan locks the room.
Davood, unable to leave the room and put on his clothes, dons a woman's coat and exits the house. He joins Ayda in her car, which accidentally collides with a police car, leading the officers to assume they had a romantic relationship and subsequently arresting them.
A strict interrogator (Siamak Ansari) questions them, and Ayda, in an attempt to evade the questions, falsely claims they are a married couple who haven't officially registered their marriage. The interrogator gives them a day to formalize their marriage. They comply, and the next day, they obtain the marriage certificate. They plan to divorce immediately, but due to the death of the official who could formalize the divorce, it is delayed. Simultaneously, Ayda intends to marry Mani (Peyman Jamshidi) and move to Canada within ten days.
Davood and Ayda decide to obtain a duplicate birth certificate for Ayda in Abadan. On this journey, they gradually develop feelings for each other. Upon returning to Tehran, they declare their intention to marry, but Ayda's friend, Aroosha Azhdari (Azadeh Samadi), Davood's fiancée, learns about their situation.
Davood successfully acquires the duplicate birth certificate, but as they learn about Mani's suicide, Ayda decides to marry him in honor of his memory. However, on the day of Ayda's wedding, Marjan discovers that Mani's suicide was staged, and he lied to Ayda. Distraught, Ayda decides to marry Davood.
Amidst its release, "50 Kilos of Sour Cherries" faced controversy, and its screening across the country was halted by the Iranian Cinema Organization. Some religious authorities and the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati, expressed dissatisfaction with the film's content. In response, Mani Haghighi, the director, defended the film, highlighting its multiple revisions and approvals by the relevant authorities. The controversies surrounding the film extended beyond its content to the advertising teasers, leading to legal summons for the film's producers.
